TULLAHOMA, Tenn. —The 20th annual Middle Tennessee Grain Conference will take place on Tuesday, February 3 at the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI), located at 411 B.H. Goethert Parkway in Tullahoma.
For two decades the Middle Tennessee Grain Conference has made good on its mission to offer practical insights and real-life solutions to emerging crop production issues. From local County Extension Agents to top-tier Extension Specialists, their Extension team plans year-round to bring an unbiased, research-based information you can count on at this annual event. Keeping with tradition, the MTNGC will again host one of the area’s largest trade shows with nearly 50 vendors and industry professionals sharing what’s new and exciting and what’s tried and true.
The registration deadline is January 29 either online at https://tiny.utk.edu/MTNGC-Reg or through the Moore County County Extension Office. There is no cost for the event this year thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and participation from tradeshow vendors.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for networking and trade show access. The opening session starts at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium with a panel discussion entitled Back to the Basics: Winning Agronomic & IPM Strategies to Maximize ROI & Profitability followed by Weed Management Strategies with Dr. Larry Steckel, UT Weed Specialist, ESA and Pesticide Implications for 2026 with Dr. Taylor Randell Singleton, UGA Extension Sustainability Specialist, and Big Beautiful Bill & Its Effects on Crop Commodities with Dr. Aaron Smith & Dr. Will Maples. The last session after lunch will be a Marketing and Hedging panel discussion with individuals from Middle and West TN Grain Outlets-Woodall Grain, TN Valley Commodities, and West TN Grain Outlet, with Dr. Aaron Smith as moderator.
At adjournment, participants will turn in completed evaluations at the information booth to receive a conference hat and other take-home resources.
