EVENTS — It’s a holiday tradition and so much fun. Save the date for Christmas in Lynchburg to take place on Saturday, December 7 in and around the historic Lynchburg Square.
Things kick off with Breakfast with Santa at the Masonic Lodge. Other events include the FCE Cookie Sale, merchant gingerbread house displays, a candy cane hunt for kids, roaming carolers, and a Christmas parade.
Jack Daniel’s Distillery also plans a special bottle signing at the Visitor’s Center and the Lynchburg Post Office will do their annual, special holiday postmark. The event concludes with the lighting of the Jack Daniel Barrel Tree around dusk. Steve May at the Jack Daniel Visitor’s Center says the Barrel Tree location will move this year to make photo ops more accessible. It will move to the Whiskey Garden, which is the area next to the Jack Daniel pedestrian bridge near the entrance to the Visitor’s Center.
